Got a chicken parm hero here recently. Excellent! As busy as it gets there and still excellent service.

After a wild Saturday night at The Laundromat, I found myself in desperate need of some comfort food to nurse my hangover, and Ralph's Pizzeria in Nutley was my go to choice. Ralph's has earned an impressive 8.9 rating on the One Bite Pizza app, ranking it the 3rd highest rated pizza spot in New Jersey, so I knew I was in for something good. I ordered two pies for takeout, a large cheese pie, well done, and a large Margherita pie. Ralph's cheese pie has been my tried and true favorite for years, and as always, it did not disappoint. The combination of their flavorful sauce, rich cheese, and perfectly crisp, well done crust is simply top notch. It's a pizza that never misses, always delivering consistent quality. This pie is what earns Ralph's its stellar reputation, and I completely agree with the high rating on One Bite. As for the Margherita pie, it was just okay. I've definitely had better versions elsewhere. Ralph's isn't known for their Margherita, and it shows in the overall flavor. While not terrible, it didn't have the wow factor of their cheese pie, and I wouldn't go out of my way to order it again. Stick with what they're famous for, the plain cheese. When I picked up my order, the place was packed, buzzing with in person and phone orders, a clear sign that Ralph's is a local favorite. If you're in or around Nutley, do yourself a favor and order the large cheese pie well done. It's worth every bite, and you won't regret it.

I came here with family, and we ordered the chicken parm, pepperoni and plain pizzas, Caesar salad, regular salad, white pie, garlic knots, and cannolis. I highly recommend starting with the garlic knots and both the regular and Caesar salads, the Caesar salad was probably the best I've ever had. As for the pizzas, the white pie, pepperoni, and plain are a must. Their pizza is so good, it's spoiled other places for me. And for dessert, don't miss the cannolis they're amazing! Service was fast and this place is good for take out or dine in. They also have a separate space for large parties and events.

Very good thin pizza, just not as great as I was expecting. It wasn't cooked as much as it could have been so the bottom was a bit too blonde for my taste. This robbed it of some crispness. The cheese was very good but there wasn't enough sauce to make a call one way or the other. Not as much caramelized cheese around the edge as I was expecting. Definitely fell victim to overblown expectations. Would I get it again - absolutely. Would I drive 45 minutes for it - No. Pretty good though. And it did grow on me by the second piece.

There's clearly a reason why Ralph's Pizzeria has been around for over 60 years. It's a neighborhood staple with great food and service. The dining area is small but says nothing compared to the great service you receive. It's a BYOB with a liquor store conveniently located across the street. There's ample parking in their parking lot. Jordan, our waiter was personable and very helpful with our food and dessert menu. Joe, assisted with taking our order of several trays for an upcoming family event. We look forward to coming back more frequently. Friendly service and delicious food deserve frequent visits. Next time I'll take some photos of the food.

My friend got Ralph's for us and told us that Dave Portnoy had rated it an 8.9. Once we heard that the pizza police had given their stamp of approval, I was even more excited to try! The pizza was absolutely out of this world. Thinner crust, super crispy and cooked to perfection. You could hold the slice up and it wasn't super soggy and dripping oil this is the real deal north Jersey pizza baby!! Next time I order I'm going to pick it up in person and hug the guys making the pizza.

Ralph's is a classic and easy go to pizza shop. If you like crispy, well done, thinner pies, Ralph's is the place for you.
